Dr Aston Wan is a highly skilled and experienced Pain Medicine Specialist with a special interest in musculoskeletal medicine, headache medicine and medical education. Dr Wan obtained his medical degree at Trinity College, University of Dublin, Ireland and completed his specialist postgraduate fellowships in General Practice (FRACGP) and then Pain Medicine (FFPMANZCA).

Previously, he was the director of persistent pain at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane and Barbara Walker Centre for Pain Management, St Vincent’ Melbourne. He currently serves as a senior consultant and supervisor of training in Pain Medicine at the Monash Health pain service. He has a deep understanding of the complex nature of chronic pain.

Dr Karan Singhal

MBBS FRACGP

Dr Karan Singhal is a Fellow of the RACGP (FRACGP) with specific interest and training in musculoskeletal medicine and pain management. He has been working as a General Practitioner in south eastern suburbs of Melbourne for the last 10 years. He has a keen interest in the field of Pain Medicine and this passion led him to quit his thriving GP career and join as the Pain Medicine Fellow in Monash Health in 2023. He has recently completed a 6 months rotation in Palliative Care Medicine in Monash Health to help upskill in the field of cancer pain management (Clinical Foundation in Palliative Medicine). He is also a member of the Australian Association of Musculoskeletal Medicine (AAMM). He feels that patients suffering with chronic pain are poorly supported in the community and he strongly advocates for their wellbeing and improving their quality of life.

Mr Arnold Kwok

MACP, BPT(Hons) MScM(PainMgt), APA Titled Pain Physiotherapist

Arnold is an Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Titled Pain Physiotherapist who has been working with persistent pain patients for over 5 years.

He is passionate in learning about pain management. Apart from short course like Explain Pain and Motivational Interviewing, he has further obtained the Master of Science in Medicine (Pain Management) from the University of Sydney in 2022.

He is currently working within an interdisciplinary team at the Monash Health pain management service.
